Incident Summary:
12/23/2014: Assailants opened fire on Adivasi civilians in Sonitpur district, Assam state, India. Twenty-three people were killed and an unknown number of others were wounded in the attack. This was one of five attacks on Adivasis in Assam on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Songbijit faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).

Criteria 1
