12/28/2014: An explosive device detonated targeting Farej al-Atiqi in Khur Maksar area, Aden city, Adan governorate, Yemen. Atiqi, a Yemeni military general, was unharmed in the blast, but his driver was killed and two bodyguards were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed it to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
