01/08/2015: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden belt inside of a Shia mosque in Adil area, Baghdad city, Baghdad governorate, Iraq. In addition to the bomber, at least eight people were killed and 16 others were injured in the blast; the victims included security force members and civilians. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
