01/10/2015: Assailants attacked peshmerga and security forces in Gwer town, Arbil governorate, Iraq. At least 26 peshmerga members and 45 assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
