Incident Summary:
02/01/2015: Assailants attacked Central Security Forces (CSF) camps in Al Bayda city, Al Bayda governorate, Yemen. This was one of four coordinated attacks in Al Bayda and one of two attacks on military positions on the same day. At least three soldiers were killed between the two military attacks. Ansar al-Sharia, a sub-group of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
