Incident Summary:

03/08/2015: Assailants armed with machetes and firearms attacked a camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ituri district, Orientale province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 12 people were wounded and a woman was raped in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Patriotic Resistance Front in Ituri (FRPI).
