Incident Summary:

03/30/2015: Assailants opened fire on Joan Kagezi, a senior state prosecutor involved in the trial of July 2010 bombing suspects, in Kampala, Central, Uganda. Kagezi was killed in the attack. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for Uganda's military involvement in Somalia. In addition, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
