Incident Summary:
05/13/2015: Assailants attacked residents and buildings in Balile village, Borno state, Nigeria. At least 25 people were killed, 30 people were injured, and 25 houses and shops were set on fire during the assault. This was one of three raids carried out in the area on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Boko Haram.

The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
