05/27/2015: An explosive device detonated near a police vehicle in As Safa neighborhood, Arish city, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. Following the blast, assailants then opened fire on the vehicle. At least two police officers were wounded in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sinai Province of the Islamic State.
