Incident Summary:

05/31/2015: Assailants attacked an Afghan National Army (ANA) checkpost in Surkh Abad area, Maruf district, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. This was one of four attacks on checkposts in the area on the same day. At least 25 assailants were killed and two soldiers and 45 assailants were injured across the four attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.
