07/10/2015: Assailants abducted Madvi Soma, a police officer, and Hirma Betti, a civilian, from an area near Dornapal town, Chhattisgarh state, India. Soma was released on July 16, 2015, while the whereabouts of Betti are unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the kidnapping to Maoists.
