07/19/2015: Assailants kidnapped two local officials along the Bouar-Garoua-Mboulai highway, near Baboua, Nana-Mambere, Central African Republic. The two hostages were released on July 23, 2016. This was one of two related abductions in the area on this day. The Group of the Fatima Church Attack claimed responsibility for the attack and demanded a ransom in exchange for the victims. Additionally, sources attributed the incident to the Democratic Front of the Central African People (FDCP), who denied involvement.
