07/28/2015: Assailants attacked residents in Askira district, Borno state, Nigeria. This was one of three coordinated attacks on villages overnight. Twenty-nine people were killed and an unknown number of others were injured across all three attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Boko Haram.
