Incident Summary:

07/29/2015: Eight assailants attacked the Goteriala police checkpost in Gujrat city, Punjab province, Pakistan. Two assailants were killed and two police officers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and stated that the group carried out the attack in retaliation for the recent death of Maliq Ishaq, a Lashkar-e-Jhangvi leader.
