08/25/2015: Assailants attacked Afghan National Army (ANA) sixth battalion checkpoints in Asadabad, Kunar province, Afghanistan. This was one of four attacks in Kunar on this date and one of three with related casualties. One assailant was killed and six assailants were injured across the three attacks. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
