12/01/2015: An assailant attempted to stab an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) officer near Einav village, West Bank and Gaza Strip. The attacker was shot and killed by security forces. No group claimed responsibility; however, the assailant was identified as Maram Ramiz Hassouna, a Palestinian extremist.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators.
