12/14/2015: An explosive device detonated near a police patrol in Mandera town, Mandera county, Kenya. At least five officers were injured in the blast. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the discovery of a mass grave of civilians that the group blamed on the military.
