01/04/2016: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a police checkpoint near Kabul airport in Kabul city, Kabul province, Afghanistan. The bomber was killed and there were no other reported casualties. This was one of two suicide bombings that occurred in the area on this date. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.
