Incident Summary:

01/00/2016: Sometime between January 1, 2016 and January 15, 2016, assailants abducted Maroc (Marc) Abdul Qadir, a French citizen and employee of Oceanic, from Sanaa International Airport in Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah, Yemen. The hostage was released on July 12, 2018. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah). Qadir was suspected of cooperation with intelligence forces.
