01/22/2016: Security forces intercepted three suicide bombers at a security checkpoint in Maiduguri, Borno, Nigeria. All three assailants were killed when security forces opened fire and one of the bombers detonated. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
