02/07/2016: Assailants ambushed government and security personnel investigating two earlier attacks in Mbaya, Bukuru, Benue, Nigeria. This was one of three coordinated assaults in the area on the same day. At least 12 people were killed and 25 people were injured across the three attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Fulani militants.
