Incident Summary:

02/12/2016: Assailants attempted to attack a banana plantation in Santa Fe village, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur province, Philippines. Two people, including an assailant and a soldier, were killed and a soldier was injured after military personnel responded to the attempted attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
