02/16/2016: Assailants attacked a police station in Mukayga area, Afgoye district, Lower Shebelle region, Somalia. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Afgoye on this date. At least seven people were killed and eight others were injured in both raids; the victims included soldiers, police officers, and civilians. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
