Incident Summary:
02/22/2016: An explosive device detonated near an African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) convoy of Ethiopian troops in Yaaq Bari Weyne, Lower Shebelle region, Somalia. Following the blast, a clash ensued between the soldiers and the assailants. At least 11 people, including soldiers and assailants, were killed and an unknown number of others were injured in the attack. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
