02/27/2016: Assailants hijacked seven de-mining company vehicles and abducted seven drivers in Abchakan area, Puli Alam city, Logar Province, Afghanistan. Security forces rescued the hostages in two separate operations on February 29, 2016. A Taliban flag was recovered at the scene of the abduction; however, the Taliban denied involvement in the attack.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
