02/29/2016: A nanny beheaded a young child inside her residence in Moscow, Russia. The assailant set the apartment on fire and took the severed head to a train station. She held the head in the air and claimed to be a suicide bomber. The assailant, identified as Gulchekhra Bobokulova, stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the deaths of Muslim civilians in Russian airstrikes in Syria. Sources also noted that the assailant stated "I hate democracy. I'm a terrorist" during the incident.
