Incident Summary:
03/03/2016: Assailants raided Kihula, Haut-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Ten villagers were abducted and several houses were torched during the raid. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) and the Nyatura Militia.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
