03/05/2016: Assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Colonel Salem al-Milqat in Mansura district, Adan, Yemen. Al-Milqat, a district police commander, and a bodyguard were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
