03/15/2016: An explosive device detonated targeting police officers in Burgos, Masbate, Philippines. Two police officers were injured in the blast. This was one of 13 coordinated attacks in Masbate on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the New People's Army (NPA).

Criteria
Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
