Incident Summary:

04/09/2016: Assailants opened fire on a vehicle transporting Jose Mauel, a National Defense and Security Council (CNDS) member, in Beira, Sofala, Mozambique. At least three people, including Manuel, were killed in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by the Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO).
