04/20/2016: An explosive device detonated targeting a vehicle carrying local officials and security personnel in Dawezai, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. Two people, including a peace committee member and a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, were killed in the blast. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a subgroup of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
