04/24/2016: Assailants abducted Omar Muhammad Batweel in Shaykh Uthman, Adan, Yemen. Batweel was found dead on April 25, 2016. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists, noting that Batweel had been openly critical of Islamic extremism.
