04/27/2016: Assailants stopped a vehicle transporting seven municipal councilors in Lydia, La Paz district, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. At least one councilor was shot and injured while the remaining six people were released unharmed a short time later. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
