04/30/2016: An explosive device detonated in Walik, Raghistan district, Badakhshan province, Afghanistan. At least eight assailants were killed and nine others were injured in the blast. The device was thought to be targeting Afghan National Security Force (ANSF) soldiers. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by the Taliban, which denied involvement.
