Incident Summary:

05/07/2016: Assailants opened fire on rights activist Khurram Zaki in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Zaki was killed and two people, including a civilian and a journalist were wounded in the attack. Halqa-e-Mehsud claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Khurram Zaki was targeted for being critical of Cleric Abdul Aziz. Sources also attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
