05/08/2016: Assailants opened fire on Ely Amadora, a councilor running for reelection, in Dumanjug, Cebu, Philippines. At least two people were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, a source attributed the attack to Liberal Party vice mayor Efren Guntrano Gungun Gica.
