05/10/2016: Security forces discovered and attempted to defused an explosive device in Ipekyolu, Van, Turkey. The device detonated, killing two police officers and injuring a third officer. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) and the Civil Protection Units (YPS).
