06/07/2016: An explosive device detonated near a Philippine Army (PA) patrol in Meta, Maguindanao, Philippines. At least four soldiers were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack may have been carried out by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM), which denied involvement.
