06/20/2016: Assailants opened fire on residents and set fire to buildings at an internally displaced persons camp in Thur, Central Darfur, Sudan. At least four people were killed and seven others were wounded in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Janjaweed.

Criteria
Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
