06/30/2016: Assailants armed with a machete attacked Mong Shwe Lung Marma in Naikkhyangchhari, Bandarbon district, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Marma, a Buddhist farmer and a local Awami League leader, was killed in the assault. The Islamic State in Bangladesh claimed responsibility for the incident.
