07/07/2016: Assailants equipped with hand grenades and firearms attacked military personnel in Merca, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. At least three people were killed and 10 people were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
