Incident Summary:

07/24/2016: Assailants abducted three police officers and a civilian Philippine National Police (PNP) employee in Malimono, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. The four hostages were released on August 27th, 2016. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and accused Officer Caleb Sinaca of being involved in illegal activities.
