Incident Summary:

07/24/2016: Assailants abducted Majid al-Madhaji, a journalist and executive director of the Sanaa Center for Strategic Studies, in Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah , Yemen. Al-Madhaji was released later the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah) and Supporters of Ali Abdullah Saleh.
