08/12/2016: An explosive device detonated near a market in Khuek Khak, Phangnga, Thailand. There were no reported casualties resulting from the blast and ensuing fire. This was one of 13 coordinated attacks in southern Thailand overnight. The Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out due to a lack of progress in peace negotiations between the government and armed groups in southern Thailand. In addition, sources attributed the attack to Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN); however, authorities expressed doubt as to the group's involvement.
