Incident Summary:
08/18/2016: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle targeting security forces near a gas station in Gharbiyat area, Sirte, Libya. This was one of two related suicide attacks in Sirte on this date. In addition to the two assailants, at least 10 soldiers were killed and 20 soldiers were injured across both blasts. The Tripoli Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incidents.
