Incident Summary:

08/18/2016: An explosive device detonated targeting a military patrol near Hizan, Bitlis, Turkey. At least four soldiers were killed and six soldiers were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). The Turkish government claimed that Fethullah Gülen (in exile) and the "Fetullah Terrorist Organization" were responsible for the PKK's attack.
