08/20/2016: Assailants attacked an unknown number of villages in Sangcharak district, Sari Pul, Afghanistan. At least 16 assailants and nine police officers were killed and 25 assailants and seven police officers were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
