Incident Summary:
08/30/2016: Assailants hijacked a milk truck after forcing the driver and other people out of the vehicle at Ban Chamao Samton School in Tao Rabon subdistrict, Sai Buri district, Pattani, Thailand. There were no reported casualties; however, the vehicle was used in a later attack on September 2, 2016. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria
Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators.
