Incident Summary:

09/04/2016: An explosive device detonated near a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and Khassadars joint patrol in Koz Chamarkand, Safi subdistrict, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. At least one officer was killed in the blast. This was one of two bombings targeting the same patrol in Safi on this date. The Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
