09/16/2016: An assailant attempted to stab Israeli Border Police officers at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, West Bank. The assailant was killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to a Palestinian extremist, identified as Saeed Amro.
